# Visual QA — Launch Carousel Experiment 02

**Stage:** exploratory campaign review; no canonicalization or Instagram publishing.

## Source-to-reconstruction fidelity

| Slide | Fidelity | Review |
|---|---:|---|
| 01 — The Hook | 9/10 | The generated campus/student collage, paper aperture, grain, architecture and red sweep remain the full-bleed base. Exact three-scale headline is typeset directly into the original torn-paper field; logo sits in the original ink aperture. |
| 02 — Perspective | 9/10 | The corridor vanishing point, shoulder-level student, light horizon and red path remain unchanged. Copy follows the left paper edge; the stacked mark is on the backpack silhouette, not a standard footer. |
| 03 — Five Worlds | 8/10 | All five distinct city-image fragments, asymmetrical cuts and overprint remain. Exact thesis occupies the existing large paper aperture; labels vary in size, angle and contrast. Copy and the smaller lockup make this the densest / least quiet slide, intentionally. |
| 04 — Experience | 8/10 | Study and friendship imagery remain dominant and unflattened. A newly reconstructed jagged vellum note carries exact supporting copy; this is the largest intentional intervention beyond typography/logo, and slightly reduces some lower-right photo detail. |
| 05 — Invitation | 9/10 | Ink-dominant cinematic base and central paper wave remain intact. The CTA follows the existing red diagonal. The prominent bilingual lockup is centered on the wave at 632 px (approved minimum 528 px). One targeted edit removed an unintended temple silhouette; first generation is preserved. |

## Self-critique (1–10)

- **Hierarchy: 8** — the opening phrase, the single perspective shift, the abundance of slide 03, human connection on 04, then the central bilingual lockup / CTA on 05 create a clear reading sequence.
- **Consistency: 8** — the same Jost family, paper/ink/red palette, collage grain and red print interventions link the slides; image scale and type placement change deliberately.
- **Aesthetics: 8** — the specific recurring visual bridge is the red translucent paper sweep, not a repeated template. Slide 03’s bottom-center mark is less integrated than the cover/CTA signature; its small-use approved lockup still holds above minimum size.
- **Usability: 8** — exports are 1080×1350; type and lockup size are checked again at 324×405; exact copy is editable in SVG. Small destination labels are secondary at mobile scale but readable in full-size output.

## Severity-ranked issues / fixes

- **High —** AI image generation can imply documentary accuracy. **Fix:** disclosure in gallery and manifest states that all people/places are illustrative and no specific institution or exact landmark is claimed.
- **Medium —** Slide 03 has five country labels plus a thesis, making its density materially higher. **Fix:** each label is independently positioned on its relevant photo fragment; no identical five-card system was introduced.
- **Medium —** The first slide’s illustration contains several generic campus buildings. **Fix:** copy frames these as an imagined study-world; no university name/signage or factual claim is added.
- **Low —** Slide 04’s new vellum text patch masks a small part of its photographic collage. **Accepted** to keep the full exact support line readable without flattening the frame into a uniform text card.

## Novelty gate

The campaign uses full-bleed imagery, irregular photo layers and variable typographic axes; it does not reuse the previous top-headline/bottom-logo poster, fixed footer, dossier registers, or separated photo-window compositions from `carousel-01-v3`, `carousel-02`, or `discovery-01`. No previous photography, CSS, template, or layout assets were reused.
